Midori no Kaze, Green Wind.
The wind is free and fast. It knows no limits, it knows no bounds. It has journeyed far and wide, and forever will it move. It is fierce, it is calm... it is everlasting.
Listen to the wind and whisper your song. Call out to it, and it will come and free you.
A girl can bring her family great honor in one way...Part 2
Happy Birthday Macie!!!
Today is Macie's birthday, as in her real birthday. In fact, I just came from a fantastic 10 course dinner in Peking Garden with Ate Char's Family and My Family. As in mega super sized platters and to think we were only 11. There was a sampler of seaweed, white chicken, some kind of ham and some kind of roll with carrots. Then, there was chili prawns, sweet and sour pork, peking duck, shalumpao, shark's fin soup, crabs, fish, salted fish fried rice and mango sago. I am so bloated. Oh, and did I mention two birthday cakes. Then, there was gift giving. Macie loves her gifts. She wouldn't let go of them till it was time to go home.
In line with my title for today's entry, I mentioned in one of my previous entries that according to Chinese custom, the person who does a baby's first haircut will be the one whose attitude the baby will take after. I just happened to be the person who was given this honor by Kuya and Ate Char a few months ago, and tonight was the night. After dinner, Ate Caren and I passed by Kuya's house and I gave Macie her very first haircut. It was scary cause she kept on moving, but she was smiling the whole time. It turned out pretty good.
Over the weekend, my super adorable niece celebrated her first birthday, but her real birthday is actually on May 26. It was a great party with a Strawberry Shortcake theme in Wack Wack. There were tons of balloons, the whole family was in pink, the food was great and the party was fun fun fun!
It started with Gymboree for the kids ages 4 and below. There were game booths on the side for the bigger kids and a jumping castle. It was so cool cause you could go fishing and catch real fish. Then, during merienda, there was a magic show. It was galeng. Hahaha. I was amazed even though I know how some of the tricks are done. Eventually, there were games for the bigger kids. The best part of the party though was the food. Imagine this, eat all you can Buy the Bucket, Big Chill, FIC, Krispy Krepe, Corndogs, Cream Cheese Burgers, Spaghetti, Barbecue and Pizzanini. Wow!!! Incredible!!!
Today was quite a happy day. I cleaned up my drawers and found a box of unused 96 colors. Wow!!! I smelled them for a while and remembered my childhood. I must find a coloring book quickly.
Then, there was STAR WARS EPISODE III. It was so nice. I won't spoil it anymore, but it's definitely a must see. Now I realized that I wanna watch the whole thing all over again.
Anyway, here are a few of Ate Caren's Pics that pretty much describe how my summer has been minus the car wreck.

Sometimes, you just wanna get out of all the stress and chill out with your friends, especially when you haven't seen each other for ages. This afternoon, Mikey, Mars, Ate C and I decided to go to Starbucks in Blue Wave. That's in the reclamation area in Manila. We just wanted a change in environment.
Well, just our luck. A speeding taxi bumped us just as we were entering Blue Wave. The impact was so strong that the car turned 45 degrees and almost tipped over. All I remember was the sound of screeching tires, my head bumping and throbbing after and us turning. When we stopped, we could even smell gas.
Grabe, so many things could've gone wrong and I'm just happy that we're all alive and in one piece. Ate C has a few bruises on her, I have one on me but my head still hurts. Mars and Mikey have hurting heads and arms. We could've been in a worse condition, but even worse, dead.
To end that, Kuya is filing a criminal case against this guy and we're getting or heads x-rayed. What an adventure. It's not one I'd like to do again.
