At Your Side...

I was just watching an episode of Sex and the City and they mentioned something very striking about friendship. They said that friendship was like an unspoken wedding vow. When you have your true friends, you're there for each other for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do you part.

Something Wonderful...

Today, the most unusual and most beautiful thing happened to me today. I came from mass and the driveway was dark. Near the kitchen door, I caught sight of a blinking light. It was a firefly, on firefly street. Mer and I turned the lights off in the kitchen and in came the firefly, flying, flying, flying around. I reached out my hand and the smallest most beautiful creature landed on my finger, glowing, glowing, glowing. A few seconds later, it flew away into the endless sky, now among the stars. How wonderful...to find beauty in the smallest thing. How wonderful indeed. :D

September

I haven't blogged in quite a while, but here's to September. It started out as another hell week, but thanks to my wonderful friends, my birthday turned out to be such a blast and a rather extended one. It started out with the Speed Amazing Race. After being drenched, Ate Caren, Mikey and Mars picked me up. I was so happy cause I thought Mars was going to Vietnam. It turns out she didn't go cause she didn't want to miss my birthday. Aww!

Anyway, when we got home, the three of them ran upstairs. When I entered my room, there they were with 2 cans of Snow Spray.

This is me covering myself with a towel as I get hit by all that snow.

Then, of course, we had a sleepover then the next day, I had my early birthday with them. We had lunch in Jack's at the Fort. Super yummy. We had creamy pesto pasta and chicken a la kiev. Then, we had Starbucks of course. And to top off the mini celebration, we played mini golf in the Fort as well. Thanks guys!!!

I thought it ended there, but no. On my birthday proper, Mike and I had coffee in the morning. It was so fun, excpet that I started feeling bad. I was throwing up so they made me cut class. Mike and I ended up playing the dot game.

Then at around lunch time, Ericka, Anix and Kia decided to surprise me. They blindfolded me from Matteo all the way to Chocolate Kiss in UP. It was such a great surprise. I was so touched. I didn't expect a thing what with all our busy schedules. Thanks guys. I had such a great birthday.
